We're excited to announce that we are now accepting applications from interested people who would like to join Our Team of Park Operators for 2024 starting from April to work at Porpoise Bay, Roberts Creek, Sargeants Bay, Smuggler Cove, Skookumchuck Narrows, Halkett Bay Plumper Cove Provincial Parks and the following Regional District's Parks: Katherine Lake Campground, Dan Bosch and Ruby Lake Picnic Areas.

Location 1: Katherine Lake Campground, 4955 Garden Bay Road, Garden Bay, BC

Salary/wages: $3,000/month or $17.00 to $20.00 / hour (To be negotiated)

Onsite Accommodation: RV Pad with all hookups provided

Job requirements: First Aid, Class 5 Driver's License

Security and Safety: Driving record check (abstract), Criminal record check for the purpose of working with children or vulnerable adults, Driver's validity license check

Work Site Environment: Outdoors

Equipment and Machinery Experience: Chain saw, Leaf blower, Lawn Tractor, Weed trimmer/edger, Pick-up truck, Pressure washer

Specific Skills/Duties/Responsibilities: Assist with landscaping, Weed, prune and trim trees and plants, Cut grass, Rake and collect refuse, Remove litter and garbage, Maintain equipment, Write daily basic progress/complaint/occurrence reports, Operate and maintain landscape maintenance equipment, Sweep and mop floors, Clean and disinfect toilets, shower buildings, campsites and other facilities, Pick up debris and empty trash containers, Report and store lost and found items, Provide information on facilities to Park Visitors, Handle complaints, Maintain Park's Facilities and present them to the Park's Visitors in a safe, clean, functional and inviting manner, Be a field contact for Park Visitors and provide them with great customer service, Make every effort to ensure Park Visitors comply with applicable regulations and policies. You should have a passion for working outdoors, working independently and in a team, be responsible and hardworking, good public interaction and ability to de-escalate or conflict resolution and keep a positive attitude. Sell firewood, ice, manage propane fire rings rental, collect fee from campers, complete check-in and check out process for customers with online reservations, handle park emails and phone calls, enforce SCRD park related bylaws, etc.
