RESERVATION POLICIES

  • Full pre-payment of all camping fees and reservation charges is required to secure a reservation. Reservation holders must be at least 16 years of age and are responsible for the actions of all party members.

  • Reservations for campsites are open from 6pm (Pacific Standard Time) 20 January every year and can be made for entire season in advance. At the time, you can book your entire stay at once (up to 14 nights). 

  • Reservations are not transferable. The reservation holder name must be provided at the time of booking and cannot be added or changed later. Any reservation holders found to be transferring or selling their reservations to another party, risk their reservation being cancelled without a refund. If a customer can no longer use their reservation, they are encouraged to cancel it so that any unused camping fees that are not forfeited as a penalty, can be refunded to the credit card that was used to make the original reservation.

  • The reservation holder ("Occupant") must be present upon arrival and during the stay. Identification may be required to keep the reservation valid.

  • Check-in time is 2 PM. Check-out time is 11 AM.

  • Only FIVE persons (including children and adults), ONE tent, ONE vehicle per campsite are permitted, unless otherwise authorized in the park.

  • Arriving at the park with more people or vehicles than stated in your reservation may result in additional fees, or unavailability of additional accommodation. One vehicle is included in the regular camping fee and an additional vehicle may be permitted with additional payment of $18/night/vehicle at tent sites and $22/night/vehicle at RV sites. An additional person(s) may be permitted with additional payment of $5/person/night.

  • Refunds are not given for an eviction, vacating your campsite early, or inclement weather.

  • A non-refundable reservation charge of $8 applies to each reservation in addition to camping fees and other park-user fees. In case of a modification or cancellation a non-refundable cancellation/modification charge of $8 applies to each reservation in addition to camping fees and other park-user fees.

  • Modifications or cancellations can be penalty free if they are done 30 days prior to the arrival date (a non-refundable cancellation/modification charge of $8 applies), any cancellation/modification between20-30 days prior to the arrival date will be charged a penalty of 50% of the camping fee and a non-refundable cancellation/modification charge of $8. No modifications are permitted within 20 days to the arrival date and no refunds for any cancellations during this period. Unable to reach you back in time on a modification/cancellation request does not exempt you from the above timeline.

  • Modifications are not guaranteed and are subject to the availability of campsites for desired dates and to the discretion of the Park Operator. Park Operator's decision is final.

  • Examples of No grounds for cancellation/modification/refund:

    • Wild Life: The presence or interactions with any kind of wildlife (insects, bears, squirrel, raccoons, etc.), even if the wildlife damages or destroys personal property, are not grounds for a refund. 

    • Weather and ambient conditions: No refunds will be considered for inclement weather (cold, rain, hail, snow, heat, flooding, etc.), even if extreme weather warnings are issued. Ambient conditions (such as the presence of smoke, or adjacent wildfires) will not be grounds for a refund

    • Park Conditions: No refunds related to in-park conditions (unsatisfactory conditions, poor customer service, etc.)

    • Leaving early: Vacating your campsite early is not grounds for a refund

    • General Illness or Pre-existing Conditions: It is not considered grounds for a refund if someone in your camping party falls ill but does not require medical assistance (see Medical below) or if there are common or expected conditions in the park that trigger an existing condition (i.e., allergic reaction to bee sting, campfire smoke triggers asthma attack, etc.)

    • Errors making a reservation: Refunds will not be granted for errors that customers make on their reservations

    • Vehicle breakdown or issues related to equipment: No refunds will be given for vehicle breakdowns, problems related to vehicles or equipment failure

    • Change in plans: A change of plans, including but not limited to getting called into work or if child care or pet care arrangements fall through, is not grounds for a refund

  • Only the person whose name is on the reservation can request for modifications/cancellations.

  • Any modifications/cancellations/refunds can only be processed via email to the Park Operator: support@katherinelakecampground.ca

  •  Any refunds can only be credited back to the original credit card used for booking.

  • Camping reservation holders are responsible for the actions of all camping party members and any visitors to their campsite.

  • Reserved sites are held until 11 AM the day after the scheduled arrival date after which you will be considered a no-show and your reservation will be cancelled. All reservation charges and camping fees will be forfeited, and the park operator will have the right to give the site away to another visitor. 

  • To make a reservation for a statutory holiday weekend, you are required to book a minimum of 3 nights.

  • When a statutory holiday falls on a Friday, the minimum stay is Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights.

  • When a statutory holiday falls on a Monday, the minimum stay is Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights.

  • When a statutory holiday falls on any other day, no minimum stay applies.
